Zekeriya Şen was born in London in 1972 and lives in Istanbul since 1988. He graduated from Istanbul University Department of Astronomy and Space Sciences. However his dreams were far beyond of his university and department. He started his career in various branches of tourism sector. Those first steps to travel designing were beginning of his contributions in behalf of cultural interactions and keeping them alive to both Turkish tourism and tourism sector.

Nowadays he continues his career as a partner and General Manager of FEST Travel which is first and visionary agency that comes to mind when we think about cultural tourism and tours to routes that nobody dares to offer.

FEST Travel has changed the travel habits like a fashion designer by breaking the patterns and achieved to create new routes every time. Zekeriya Şen is one of the intellectual names behind this success. His mission is to find and create new routes and tourism destinations from different places of the world and to offer them to travellers.

Besides his tourism career Zekeriya Şen has a deep passion and knowledge about music. Also he has translated Trout Fishing in America, Willard and His Bowling Trophies: A Perverse Mystery and Sombrero Fallout: A Japanese Novel of Richard Brautigan who is a renowned American writer.

He shares his passion of discovering world music and getting to know other life styles with radio and music lovers. He makes a radio program about ethnic music named Dünyayı Dinliyorum (meaning I listen to the World) at Açık Radyo over 12 years. He is also very interested in writing and lately he has been presenting world music and defending that music is a way of life with his articles on newspapers, music magazines and web sites.

Zekeriya Şen, as a member of World Federation of Travel Journalists and Writers and Skal which is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship, continues to support tourism in every way and to transmit his experiences to future.
